Welcome

I am a specialist Neurophysiotherapist who treats adults with neurological conditions (i.e. a reduction in control of your body caused by a problem in your brain or spinal cord). Your condition may be acquired, for example a stroke, incomplete spinal cord injury or head injury; neurodegenerative like multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's Disease or Motor Neurone Disease; neuro-developmental such as cerebral palsy; or a functional neurological disorder. I provide bespoke assessment, treatment, monitoring and management services for people with all kinds of neurological conditions regardless of your age or how long you have had your condition and in some cases before your diagnosis has been confirmed. More About Therapy

The brain has an amazing capacity to reorganise, learn and relearn movement. The treatment I provide is one-to-one and hands on. The specialised handling techniques I use direct this learning in order to optimise and organise the available activity to generate functional movement (i.e. to be able to do things that you couldn't do before having treatment).

Treatment & Costs

1. Information Gathering

Prior to starting treatment I collect information about your neurological condition, your medical history and current medication and discuss what physical difficulties you are experiencing.  This typically starts with a chat on the phone or via email.

2. Assessment and Treatment

Your first treatment session will include a detailed assessment of your physical problems. Movement analysis (quantity, quality and control of movement) and objective measures to allow us to identify the priorities for treatment. Together we formulate some realistic, achievable goals for treatment.  We also look at the practicalities of where in your home we can work, what furniture you have and it allows me to plan what equipment I might bring with me to future sessions.

Treatment is individual and specifically tailored to your needs and assessment is an on-going process to ensure that as you progress, treatment always addresses the issues th
